Quilting

2.5 cents per square inch for all designs with a minimum quilting charge of $50.

Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .025 = $120.

Batting

Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.
You may purchase batting from me. I carry the following batting types:

Quilters Dream Bamboo, $0.40/in
Quilters Dream Cotton Select, $0.38/in
Quilters Dream 80/20 Cotton/Polyester Batting, $0.35/in

Most of the batting I stock is on a 93” roll. I will use only what is needed for your quilt - smallest side + 5 inch margin - and charge per inch.

For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" inches of the batting of your choice. • 65" of Bamboo @ $0.40/in = $26.00

I can order other Quilters Dream fiber varieties like wool, Dream Puff, or others if given enough lead time. Click to view Quilters Dream Products

Thread

I stock Glide 40wt thread from Fil-Tec. It has a sheen to it and quilts beautifully. I use Magna Glide Classic 60wt thread in my bobbins.

Dense quilting and large quilts are subject to an additional thread fee:

$10 for quilt width up to 95 inches
$15 for quilt width over 95 inches

My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color. Colors by request if given lead time.

Shipping

Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in Wisconsin, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in a sealed plastic bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box or poly envelope. Make sure the package is securely taped and labeled clearly.

Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate boxes when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your booking form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but I don't require it.

Other

As mentioned above, batting is not included in the square inch price. Also a 5.5% sales tax on quilting will be added to Wisconsin invoices. Customers outside the state of WI are not subject to sales taxes.

Payment

After the work is complete, I will invoice you for payment. I will not ship without payment in full. My preferred methods of payment are Cash or local checks, Venmo or PayPal. Please note that PayPal charges a fee for processing payments. If you decide to pay this way, you are responsible for this fee.
